The Most Wonderful, Fabulous News

Under normal circumstances, Sunny Frazier would be here today with her regularly scheduled guest blog but these are not normal circumstances. Sunny’s been on the kidney transplant list for quite a while, living with dialysis while she waited, and at last she got her brand new kidney!!

Sunny will be living near the hospital in Portland, Oregon, for a couple of months before she can go home to California but she’s doing great. Her email access is not good but she’d love to hear from people through Facebook — —or through the mail (remember that oldfashioned way of communicating?)—

V. Frazier (my name is Virginia, I seldom use it)

In the meantime, I’m wishing all the best for Sunny 😉

  1. That is such wonderful news. I had sent her an e-mail recently with a question and wondered why I hadn’t heard from her. I’m so pleased for her.

  2. It all happened so fast! I got the call right out of dialysis, had to pack, contact the woman who would move into my house and take care of the cats for 2 months, the woman on my bank acct to pay bills, pick up the plane ticket at the VA and was in the sky 3 hrs from the call. By 1 P.M. the next day I was on the operating table. It’s an exceptionally healthy kidney and I had kept healthy. We are encouraged to write the donor family.

    • The donor family will really appreciate hearing from you. When my brother-in-law’s brother was killed and his organs donated, the letters from all the people who were given organs really meant a lot to the whole family. The thought that parts of him would go on living and help others comforted them immensely.
