Trade Paperback

Mac McClellan, retired Marine, is enjoying his life on the gulf coast of Florida. He’s got his camper trailer and is dating Kate Bell, a woman he met at the local marina. But when he and Kate attend a showing of “Dead Man Walking” at the local classic cinema, Kate faints when she sees a man in the lobby who looks like her former boyfriend.

Wes Harrison died in a boating accident twelve years ago, Kate tells Mac. Although Mac finds it hard to believe, Kate insists it was Wes they saw. When Mac begins to probe into the circumstances surrounding Harrison’s death, he finds that Kate’s former boyfriend was involved in some shady activities. Would he have staged his own death?

Readers who enjoy private eye novels set in Florida, like Stuart Kaminsky’s Lew Fonseca series, will like Mac McClellan’s action-packed adventures.

  1. I scooped this book up on the day it was released. I had read Deadly Catch, the first of the Mac McClellan books and loved it. Deadly Ruse was every bit as good and better. Now I’m waiting for number three!

  2. Sounds like one I should read & review. Hope chances are not diminished by another win for someone who did not respond after two wins. Do you notify by mail of is winner posted somewhere?
