Her fifth grade teacher, Miss Macy, was the first mentor to suggest she consider a career in writing. That extension of the arts, the written word, turned into a fulltime passion in 2001.

Recently at a book festival I had time between my book signings to enjoy other venues and authors. I walked around the many tents and booths and watched the crowds. Imagine my surprise when I overheard a conversation between three avid readers that all seemed to agree they didn’t like happy endings in suspense. Now I’m no longer overhearing a private conversation but downright eavesdropping. I’m thinking about a giant in the genre, Dean Koontz. I love his happy endings.
I write characters true to my heart, including those that break my heart and those that freeze my heart. My characters love, laugh, live, make mistakes and meet up with the nefarious. My first three novels will provide my readers with happily ever after endings. I like it that way. I’ve taken my readers through hell and back and I want them to realize that through tragedy and evil we can all find some happiness, or at least some sanity.
I hope you’ll join me as I take you through my world of Breecie LeMay and her story, Widow’s Row. Breecie is an attorney that has to face the truth that her father may have been involved in her mother’s murder. You’ll also take a journeyed glimpse into the fascinating world of trans-genders.
In Coverboys & Curses, you’ll enter Lauren Visconti’s world and her magazine, CoverBoy, which juxtaposes prized photographs of almost naked men with in-your-face reporting on current events. The amputation of toes to get into those designer shoes. The naughty Catholic priests and the human trafficking going on in your own back yard. The practice of revirgination. These articles introduce her to danger because Lauren names names, but she knows they’re not the only source of the threats and death surrounding her. Everyone she loves dies. The Lauren Visconti Curse.
I leave you today with my book titles and a sneak peek of the cover of my newest book, Evil Cries, to be released Summer 2013. I hope you enjoy my sometimes twisted mind, for oh the wicked webs I weave with words! I also leave you with a question. Do you believe in happily ever afters in a book of suspense? Curious minds want to know. I’d love your thoughts!
